The Joulen team will be attending Energy Technology Live at the NEC Birmingham on 11-12 March, one of the UK’s leading events dedicated to energy innovation, distributed energy systems and energy storage technologies.

Bringing together industry leaders from across the sector, this event provides a valuable opportunity to explore the future of the UK’s energy system and the transition to a more flexible, low-carbon grid.

Across the two days, members of the Joulen team will be discussing the growing role of digital platforms, optimisation, and flexibility – critically how Joulen’s PARIS platform is leading the charge on performance in the energy market trading space.

Rishi Mehta, business development and partnerships manager at Joulen said; “As storage and flexibility shift from “interesting” to essential, it’s the perfect moment to connect with developers, installers and C&I energy managers focused on unlocking more value from their assets. Excited to catch up with BESS OEMs old and new — and to showcase how Joulen’s Flex‑in‑a‑box PARIS platform is simplifying integration, optimisation and trading for partners who see flexibility as a strategic advantage, not an add‑on.

For Joulen, attending Energy Technology Live is an excellent opportunity to strengthen industry relationships and contribute to the conversations shaping the next generation of intelligent energy systems, which will be supported by Jeremy Yapp, Joulen’s markets and compliance lead, who will be hosting a panel discussion on Flexibility in Action: Technology and Networks Shaping the Future System. This is set to be an in-depth and multiperspective discussion, taking place on day one of the event March 11 11:45 am, theatre two within the Distributed Energy Show section.

Jeremy Yapp commented ahead of the show; “As gas prices rise and the government considers reforms to national pricing, this is a perfect time to repeat that there will be no affordable clean power system unless we make customer-led flexibility a priority. I’m excited to meet colleagues in the sector to discuss how we make markets and technology work together to achieve this.

As moderator of the panel “Flexibility in action: Technology and networks shaping the future system”, I am keen to investigate the role of a “Flexibility First” model in a world where data centres are the new challenge to electrical load, and ask what technical and regulatory innovations are on the horizon in our race to a clean power system”

If you are attending the event, the team would welcome the opportunity to connect and discuss how Joulen’s optimisation platform is helping organisations unlock greater value from their energy assets. Book a meeting with us here
